Kiwanis Club of Alvin
The Crawfest is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Alvin. The funds raised at this activity by the Alvin Kiwanis Club all go to support the projects listed on the back of this brochure. The days activities will be held downtown in Alvin's beautiful National Oak Park on Business Highway 35.

FREE COKE for donation to Alvin Food Pantry
Persons bringing non-perishable food will be given a coupon for a free coke. The food will be delivered to the Alvin Food Pantry by the Boy Scouts. Redeem at Coke Booth.

Family Fun
The Kiwanis Club sponsors the Crawfest as a day of old fashion fun with a wide variety of activities to entertain the whole family. Great crawfish, excellent gumbo, boiled shrimp, assortment of desserts are available to please the palette. (Hot dogs and sausage are also available for those who want something a little different.) Food will be served from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Arts - Crafts & Entertainment
Browse through the Arts and Crafts booths or listen and watch the entertainment groups alternating throughout the day. The band will perform from 12:00 until 5:00 pm. An antique auto show will also be part of the day’s activities.

Alvin Kiwanis Club Projects
All revenue raised by the Crawfest &
Shrimp Boil will be used to support worthy causes in Alvin, Texas. The Alvin Kiwanis Club is a civic-minded group of men and women who are working together to make our world and especially our community a better place to live.

ACC Nursing Scholarship, All Little Things Country, Alvin Community College Fall Festival, Alvin High School ADAPT Program, Alvin High School Key Club, Alvin High School Scholarship to ACC, Alvin Little League Baseball, Alvin Police Bike Patrol, Alvin Police Coloring Book Program, Alvin Youth Soccer Club, Alvin-Manvel Food Pantry, BACH Rehab, Boy Scouts Troop #487, Brazoria County Head Start Program, Children's Miracle Network, Hand in Hand Daycare, Kidz Harbor, Kiwanis Circle K Leadership Program, Kiwanis' District & Int’l Scholarship Fund, Meals on Wheels, Ministerial Alliance, R U OK Program, Salvation Army, Women’s Center of Brazoria County, YMCA

CRAFTS, DESSERTS, GAME OR BUSINESS BOOTHS

We will have an arts & crafts show with many booths. The Kiwanis Club of Alvin is also providing opportunities for civic clubs and groups to use this day as a money making project by having a booth with games for children, baked goods, desserts or non-alcoholic drinks (except soft drinks.) The Kiwanis Club will sell all "Coke" type drinks because of the Food Pantry promotion.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.     Arts and Crafts exhibitors must enter your own original work - no mfg., mass produced items, no flea market items, no imports, no items with profanity or obscene gestures.

2.     Set up begins at 6:30 am. All displays must be set up by 9:45 am and REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL CLOSING at 5:00 pm. (No rain date.)

3.     Spaces are approximately 10' x 10'. You must furnish your own display material. You will be given your booth assignment along with unloading and parking instructions when you arrive. Some help will be provided for unloading and loading, if needed.

4.     Exhibitor must provide own display equipment, including tables which must be attractively draped to the ground on all             sides.Extra boxes must be under tables and not in  customer view.

5.     Exhibitor must secure display and canopies against wind. Canopies and all other covering cannot be set-up without a weight (minimum 20 lbs.) for each support. Exhibitor is responsible for any damage or injury caused by his/her display to other exhibitors and/or their merchandise or to customers, property, etc.

6.     Exhibitor is responsible to provide any insurance deemed necessary. Exhibitor hereby waives and holds harmless the Kiwanis Club of Alvin and/or agents; and the City of Alvin and/or agents from any and all claims including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, medical expenses, costs, losses, legal actions, etc., howsoever incurred.

7.     Exhibitor must contain trash and leave booth area clean, including cigarette butts, price tags, tent ties, etc., at the end of the day.

8.    Consumption of alcoholic beverages is expressly prohibited. Offenders will be asked to leave the show immediately.

9.    Exhibitor is responsible to collect and report own sales taxes.

10.   Booth rental is non-refundable. Checks returned for non-payment are subject to a $15.00 fee. Checks will not be redeposited. Space reservation will be canceled until payment is made in full, subject to availability. It is the exhibitor's responsibility to call and make arrangements.

11. If booth items are misrepresented on the  application form and the guidelines stated in  item #1 are not followed, the Kiwanis Club of Alvin reserves the right to refuse the booth  to be set up.  At that time, your registration fee will be refunded and the Kiwanis Club of Alvin will not be held liable for any loss of income.

The Crawfest & Shrimp Boil and Arts & Crafts Show are sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Alvin. The chairman, committee, and all of the workers are strictly volunteers. No one receives payment for helping put on this show. Many of the area businesses help out in various ways. Proceeds from booth rental go toward the list of community projects listed on the back of this brochure. Our show has a reputation for being a clean, high quality show with a festive atmosphere geared for family outings. The committee appreciates your cooperation and efforts in helping us keep this reputation.
