An old-fashioned, 24-gauge train ride through a winter wonderland.
Victory Camp in Alvin hosts its 10th annual Christmas Train beginning
December 11.
Enjoy the scenery from the 24-gauge train as it travels through a half-mile
of Christmas decorations and over 150,000 lights. Relax by the fireplace
with some cocoa or other holiday treats, listen to the music and soak up the
serenity of the Christmas Spirit. Have dinner at Big Al's Pizza - the
tastiest in the whole area - with fresh ingredients and a delicate, homemade
crust.
As well as the train and the depot, there are inflatables for the kids and
pictures with Santa. This is a truly memorable experience for the whole
family.
Admission is free. Train rides are $1 for children ages 3-12 and $2 for
adults. Children 2-and-under are free.
Dates and times are:
December 11, 17, 21, 22; 7-10 pm
December 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 23; 6-10 pm
(The train cannot run in inclement weather.)
